IT Auditor

Description

This position is responsible for participating in the performance of independent audits and evaluations of both financial and management controls for all IT systems and related functions within the company. This is to be done in a professional, independent and objective manner in order to evaluate the adequacy of the existing degree of control and to provide specific recommendations for additional control as required. Perform in depth analyses of all automated systems to ensure that the appropriate controls are effective. This includes new system implementations as well as upgrades of existing systems. Participate in the review of Talbots Disaster Recovery Plan and the annual testing of the plan.

Requirement

A degree in Accounting, Information Systems or Computer Science and certified as a CPA, CIA or CISA is preferred. Five years of IT audit experience including experience in a large corporate retail environment (preferably retailing, with particular emphasis on retail technology and data center operations). The ability to evaluate the controls in highly sophisticated automated systems. Specialized knowledge of the following platforms is also required: AS400, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Unix and IBM Mainframe OS/390. Knowledge of Oracle Financials version 11i and Peoplesoft HRMS version 8.1 is desired. Working knowledge of data mining software such as ACL and IDEA is preferred. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
